Her next album "Daydream" which became the biggest selling album in US has all the mixed elements of hip-hop and downbeat R&B genre. Its single, a remix featuring late rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard, 'Fantasy' has stood at # 1 for twelve consecutive weeks on CanadianSingles charts. Overall "Daydream" received six Grammy Award nominations and gave Mariah great reviews in the print media. Her songwriting abilities, which of late have become more relaxed and provocative relying less on thudding clichés has won her rave reviews too. She later began writing and producing for other artists such as Penny Ford and Daryl Hall.
'Honey' a hip-hop single from music video album "Butterfly" {1997} showcased Mariah in a bolder sexual image than ever seen previously. Another single 'My all' from the album was her 13th consecutive # 1 on Hot 100, making her the most number-ones female artist in US.
"Heartbreaker" the first single from her 1999 album "Rainbow" became her14th number-one single making Mariah the only artist to top the charts year after year during 1990s. Also for 60 consecutive weeks "Heartbreaker" stayed on top of all the Billboard's charts and eclipsed Beatles's all time 59-week record.
